A to-do list for the next ten days:
- Fly to London this afternoon.
- Take a train to York.
- Hang out in York for a few days.
- Rent a car, drive a manual transmission on the wrong side of the road for the first time.
- Be 1/2 of that cool couple that came all the way from the States to the wedding.
- Fly to Dublin.
- Enjoy a delicious Guinness at a pub.
- Repeat #7 as necessary.
So, I'll be out until Friday the 13th. I don't expect internet access while I'm gone. But, I'll bring back pictures. And memories.


I drove on the wrong side of
I drove on the wrong side of the road (and was the cool guy who went from California to Letterkenny (IRE) for a wedding) for a week or so, automatic transmission. Mostly OK, but there were two distinct moments when I almost got in an accident because of the other side of the road thing.

I drove on the left during a visit to Macau some years ago, without incident. Then I realized my turn signal had been on the entire day.
